This is the opening to the TV series Dexter. We like how they have taken a regular morning routine and turned it into something more eerie and interesting. They do this by zooming in on almost everything so that we can't immediately see what is being filmed - it looks like something else rather than what it actually is. cool. musics good, kind of contrasting but fits.

More Research

I really like the hand held filming in this opening, especially when the girl throws the leaves in the air. I like the mystery as to who the girl is and what happened to her. The black and white setting works really well, and the framing and 'REC' on the footage looks really effective. I like the sound at the begining of the breathing and rustling and think the music works well.
This would be a good idea for our opening scene.
Overall however there are quite a lot of bad points about this opening. I dont like the editing in some bits and think most of it is a bit ruffly put together and random.
I like it though and it is good inspiration for our thriller opening.

We really like the short snappy clips in this opening. We like the mysteriousness, and the use of still shots. The music goes really well with the opening and the text fits style. the opening is really disturbing and freaky which we want our opening to be like.
